March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

September 26th, 2023 A series of pride challenges spark up across the peninsula, while warring families face-off as tensions reach their boiling points. Anthonius Savante barely manages to escape the clutches of Apollinaire Dieudonne with his life, while death looms over the broken truce between the Valour-Greyflood and Saxe families.

September 4th, 2023 After Tinúviel collapsed at the Wolfbron Bluff's challenge, she was unable to make it back to the Lagoon to take up her leadership position again and the pride disbands. Diomedeidae & Cirilla fight for the pride.

August 28th, 2023 Both Amara and Morrigan keep their prides. Lachesis doesn't show to defend the Brook and Renfri takes over. The Wolfbron Bluffs challenge seems to be setting off fireworks already.

August 15th, 2023 The two longest standing female leaders are both fighting for their prides once again. Anthonius challenges Amara for the Bluffs. Amaroq challenges Morrigan for the Summit. A new leader faces his first challenge as Renfri challenges Lachesis for the Brook. Did anyone think that peace was something the island was able to have?

August 1st, 2023 Conflict, drama, love, and loss - the lands are never free from any of it for more than a fleeting moment. As the summer months wane on and the season nears its end, there is no telling what is coming next upon the horizon.

June 19th, 2023 With the rains leaving and spring upon the island, things are heating up among the lions. Bruno seeks to unseat his father in the Mire. Helah looks to dethrone Scorpius in the Oasis and keep the fire between the Bluffs and the Oasis alive. The Plains have raided the Brook and allies on both sides showed up to help.

May 23rd, 2023 All is fair in love and war - moments of chaos and peace lull in a cyclical nature across the lands of Amaryllis, though most are wise enough to know that the quiet never lasts quite long enough.

April 20th, 2023 Alexander manages to win the Hollows and Tiamat keeps the Lagoon. Vághan challenges Amara for the Bluffs but Amara is able to hold off another challenger and keeps the Bluffs. The Cove was hit by a storm that washed away it's leader leaving the lands open to be claimed by Nephthys and Keligan who both are attached to the land. Cirilla attempts to take the Oasis from Scorpius who seems driven to keep the land.

April 5th, 2023 It doesn't take long for the dust to kick up as the Hollows is challenged for by Alexander once again and the Lagoon is challenged for by Fernweh.

March 31st, 2023 As wars and challenges continue to break out across the lands, Amaryllis is certainly keeping up with its turbulent reputation. One can only hope that the dust will settle soon enough - for everyone's sake.

March 10th, 2023 The turbulance of the prides never ceases for very long, as a violent landslide forces the members of Firnen Rainforest to evacuate and disband. Who will step up for the throne this time around?

March 1st, 2023 While Gauthier manages to retain control of Caladan Cove, Lorien Plains' fate is not so simple. With Aeistrios overthrowing Violarum and taking the pride's throne, how will things unravel from here?

The coldest part of winter is now afoot, with heavy snowfall spreading across the north and crisp winds overtaking the majority of the lands. To make matters worse, the days seem painfully short, with the sun setting as quickly as it seems to rise from across the horizon. The nights remain dark, quiet, and frigid all the while.

Curiosity had brought her uphill from the grove. To the borders of this pride. She’d been here before, when it wasn’t a pride, just another empty place. She heard distant chuckling. Ah, infested with hyenas still. She wanted to giggle, but refrained. Instead walking upon the border before sitting. Then she chuffed for whoever the new leader was. Curious, hoping to remain free, though. If she were claimed, she supposed she could still sneak off to the grove to stay and sneak back into the pride before daybreak. But she just wanted to get to know the leader, their laws, all that jazz. Perhaps they were particularly good-looking? One could only hope.

(I’d prefer if she weren’t claimed but yk)

Today had been spent clearing out the den site, the real den site. Not the smaller but still cozy one that was shown to visitors.

It was mostly aesthetics if he were to be honest, clearing away brush and small rocks that would contribute to a lumpy terrain. Pushing together other, larger rocks to create a more definable border that the smaller ones could be added to to bolster them. What pelts had been sufficiently dried were now adorning the insides of alcoves and dens, the highest of which he had claimed for himself.

It was on his way to the false den site where most if the drying was being done that a stranger's call reached him.

And as he finally reached her position, his own path had taken him to a ledge above her. Giving him a good vantage point to look down over the brown furred lioness. This was a different change of pace, so far the vast majority of those calling him out had been male.

He made no point to hide his present, chaffing in response from where he stood.

"Mau ru,"
The words were spoken with an inflection that suggested a greeting, perhaps a pleasantry. "You sit on my border, so I assume you have sort of of business with me?"

The fae’s green eyes swiveled as she noticed the Sovereign. Offering him a small, charming smile. He was quite young for a leader, wasn’t he? She looked at him from head to tail quick. He was huge, from what she could gather. Though it wasn’t tall for anyone to be bigger than her. He said some form of greeting, and she was curious momentarily as to what language he spoke, but shrugged it off for now. “Hello, I live in the Grove, to the East of your pride lands, and was curious who my new neighbors would be,” she paused for a few moments, before adding, “though I didn’t expect someone so young or handsome to be the Sovereign.” Cheeky smile curving at her lips. Curious how he would react. She’d stood by now, so she could turn to look at him better.

Power had never been anything that necessarily attracted her. No, but she was interested in his curls. She had some here and there in her own mane, but not to the extent of his. Her freckled head tilted ever so slightly, “you are new here, correct? I don’t remember seeing you before the migration.” How interesting. It seemed Nymeria was the only Native with any power at the moment. It was honestly disappointing to her, to see Maua’s lands split up so. Hopefully a another Native would rise to power soon enough. Though surely not her. No, she was happy with her shells, flowers, and pelts.

Another forest dweller then, was she? Her coat would lend her an advantage in such an environment, surely.

Faust responded the smile with a small one of his own, although it didn't quite reach his eyes the same way hers did. Flattery was rarely wasted if done right, but it never did quite work on him. He was a divine being, it befitted him to have some form of humility did it not?

"It is a pleasure to meet one of my new neighbors."
He dipped his head to the earthen pelted lioness, discretely taking in the scent of trees and moss that clung to her. Whether it was a cover or the truth, she at least played her part of woodland fae accurately.

"Yes, I will admit my age is a bit tender for my position," the Archangel laughed, letting the rumbling amusement be swallowed by the wind before he continued on, "Luckily I'm a fast learner."

He knew dangerous terrain and Wolfbron Bluffs was the kind of area that gave a limited amount of chances to get something right. A wrong step or crumbling ledge could easily be a quick ticket to injury or the afterlife, nevermind the local fauna. It was not just politics he would have to master in record time.

"My birthplace was not in Amaryllis, no. I assume you are the opposite?"

Maeve bowed her head back, before it came back up to look back upwards into his red eyes. Hm, a bit... unnerving, no? But she probably would still feel that way despite their hue. He had a... piercing gaze, certainly. She nodded at his explanation, “I wish you good luck in your endeavor, it will not be easy but... perhaps it will work out.” She hoped he was peaceful, at least. Kept good relations with Vermeda, since she was squished in between the two.

He confirmed he was, in fact, not a native. She smiled slightly, “yes, born in Maua’s Celosia fields, in fact,” she explained. She’d moved hallways across the lands from her mother, but her other children had done the same. She was no exception. Other questions and whispers rattled in her tufted ears, and she asked a select few. “So, what made you want to become a leader?” She hums, curious, “and what sort of rules and laws do you have here?” Perhaps he wouldn’t turn out as good as she hoped, but hey, she hadn’t been claimed or harmed yet. So that was a good sign, right?

Celosia fields must have been one of the newer areas that were revealed when the fog was pulled back, as the name didn't ring a bell for him. There'd been less time to go sniffing around as a new landowner, but there was always time for trips down the road once things had settled more.

"I see, and thank you. Your well wishes are appreciated."
On the subject of what drove him to take up a crown, Faust's throat rumbled with a hum. "It's both a simple and complex reasoning. The long and short of my goal is to be the thing that monsters fear, the boogeyman's boogeyman if you will. And for that I need a base of power." And what counted as a monster? That was up to him to decide.

Sitting upon his ledge now, the Archangel knew that this would come eventually. But he met the question with grace, "Peaceful visitors such as yourself are welcome to enjoy the Bluffs, although I ask that if you are within my borders you have the escort of a pride member. They will let you know where you can and cannot go." Who knew how after that would change? But anyone under his rule would know where to steer visitors away from...or towards.

"I've little patience for violence and cruelty amongst my ranks, and it is dealt with accordingly depending on the severity of the situation. On the subject of ranks, it matters not to me what is between someone's legs if they seek a higher purpose, just their loyalty and skill."

The other thanked her, and she nodded. Least she could do was wish him well. So, he wanted it as a way to... stop monsters? An interesting concept. She hoped fairies weren’t considered monsters. Some did consider her more troublesome cousins on the Winter court such. They could be mean little sprites. But she couldn’t see it, was too close to them, she supposed. Though she could be a little rude when it came to deals. They were serious business.

He listed his rules, and she found herself agreeing with them, for the most part. It all made sense. Especially appreciating the rule about either gender being appreciated, as long as they had ambition. So, she wouldn’t be claimed, most likely, and that was appreciated. She enjoyed his freedom. She kept her green eyes trained on him closely. It seemed she was trying to get a read of sorts on him. She took a breath before speaking, “well, if you ever need a performer, let me know, though it comes with a price.” Her eyes swiveled back to his with a small wink. Obvious what her price was.

Although she wouldn’t only accept sex as a payment. She knew some had wives or simply didn’t find her attractive (for whatever reason) but, when you were a woman alone, nothing came for free. That brought her to another question, “have you met with Nymeria of Vermeda brook? She rules the native pride to the East of the Grove. Seeing as I’m sandwiched between you two... I’d rather like to know if you get along.”

My oh my, wasn't she a spitfire? Entertainers wouldn't go amiss in the bluffs, such ladies tended to hear things they shouldn't. Perhaps he would circle around to that in time, but there were other more pressing matters at paw now.

"I'll keep that in mind,"
he hummed. "But yes, I've met Lady Nymeria briefly few times. I'm probably due a visit to her soon in fact, the last I saw her was before taking the Bluffs." It had been a busy time, but soon he would have to find the opening to go seeking her pride in the grove. Given their short but benign past, he didn't see any reason to assume sour relations. She owed him after all, didn't she?

Not that he didn't know better than to push that particular envelope so hard that it fell from the table.

"I doubt you have much to fear as far as being caught in between a war, mirn maura."

It was true that she did often hear things she probably shouldn’t. Most of it she kept to herself though, who did she have to tell? But she did have a number of secrets stored away from those she’d slept with or just flirted with. It was amazing what someone would say from just complimenting them, but she didn’t really flirt to get information, no. She wasn’t a spy.

Maeve nodded, somewhat relieved they knew each other even before he’d gotten his crown. She noticed he seemed scratch-free. So he hadn’t fought for his title, then. How interesting. The spirits whispered here or there, ’we allowed him to get this far.’ Interesting. She wondered what was so special about him. Other than the red eyes and curly mane he looked rather unremarkable. But he did speak in a somewhat strange manner. Maeve nodded at his reassurance, “may I also inquire as to what language you keep using?” She was quite well versed in the languages of these lands. Fae, Gaelic, and common she’d been raised with. But Latin and Greek she’d learned so she could communicate with Vermeda easier. Since that’s what many of them spoke. But this one she had not heard.

Most were content to let him speak a few words of his own tongue without interest or acknowledgement, and that suited him just fine. Only a few times since his entry into this land had anyone actually questioned his use of the language.

"It is the language of my blood, the tongue of angels," he replied, tone humble despite such a lofty claim. He didn't require her belief, not that it would go amiss, but he knew to not expect recognition the likes that he by rights should have. Yes, the Archangel was humble amongst his mortal subjects.

"I've known it since the beginning and I may well be the last to speak it now."

Heaven was empty, yes. Its ethereal residents scattered or starved out into ivory husks that could watch over nothing. He had fallen, come to this land for a time to clear corruption where we went. Nephilim, Archangel, King. The last speaker of his kin.
