Pyrrha had a want. In the embrace of winter she wanted something new. Something that could make her feel happy, something material and warm. A new pelt for her den. And maybe in the process get a bit of meat for the cache. She lowly chuffed and tried to summon in some of the pride members to help her out. Her voice resounds along the way as she pushes inland and then she falls quiet. Her body stops and she begins to scan the horizon for sign either of lunch or of more pride members come to join her.

The chilly winds of winter had been difficult to overcome for Lamia who was more into constant warmth and not to periods of colder times. But being a resilient woman she didn't complaint nor used it as an excuse to be lazy and do nothing. She wasn't going to be useless just because of this coldness.

She was walking around checking on the borders just to make sure nothing was out of place. And so far it was all in one piece.

Then a call reached from her friend Pyrrha. Another summon of hunt. Asking for the pride to aid her. Without waiting longer she rushed leaving a trail of confusing tracks she reached the side of her friend ready to assist.

Another hunt was called upon her and Analia was quick to move towards the summons. Casting her body through the sandy shore until she easily spotted the wildebeest running from the clutches of Caladan. Ana made quick work to fill into the gaps in their army, siphoning every bit of energy she had to gather and giving it to this hunt. Letting the cry of their target lead her forward so that they might earn some sustenance for the oncoming weeks ahead. They were going to need to come together as more time passed and with the change in leadership, Ana had hope that each member would continue to show their worthiness and their respect to those that were holding the pride steady as they were now.

PYRRHA TOLLAIRE

Pyrrha softly chuffs a greeting to both @Lamia and @Analía as they arrived to join up with the hunt. And ahead of them the perfect target for the 3 young women- a wildebeest. A beautiful grey pelt for Pyrrha to pilfer away for herself. And of course some meat for the cache. That too. With a warm hum she heads off to take a running sprint towards their target, reaching forwards with long strides she began to try and heard the beast towards the rest of the hunting party. Her short tail twisting around quickly, body dipping and moving to keep up her balance and speed.Dinner is served up!

The small lykoi bent and scurried between mostly buried, slightly pointy mounds - stands of aloe that stood and failed against the last storm. "Second winter has not been kind," mist clouds formed and curled from a scolding sigh. Even since the last storm, some withered leaves had fallen. Easily the scholar collected their brown failures from within the snow mounds. "You would be more useful alive, and not as wound padding." Tone exhibited low, quiet frustration; as one accustomed to long suffering, and a wheel of the world always grinding along the bottom.

One white-tipped ear turned toward a hunt summon. Wrinkles formed in a scowl. Shadows showed so crispy upon the bare, dark skin around the mouth and eyes. Using one paw and a nipping mouth, Imago gathered the dead aloe into a bundle neat enough to carry. Then, skull high to be able to see around the stems, Imago trotted toward the group. In the general direction of the group. Snarls and bleats guided the lion to the final destination.

Imago dropped the herbs and pounded a foot promptly in the middle of them. "Stay." Then with an impatient snarl, the scholar rushed in, trying to get beneath the beast and bite upward.

It was a wonderful day to smell less like salt. George hunkered in a lee of the great stone arch, avoiding the wind, and dug at the roots of his longer fur. Both his mane and down under his chest. He noted with some pride that the tufts behind his elbows were filling out. Unfortunately this also tended to capture the telltale odor of the Cove. He cleaned them out and when he was done, rubbed himself well against the stone walls to smell more like nature and less like the part of nature that was part of the Cove, specifically.

He did this because he intended to scout today. Scout, not hunt. (If hunt, a hunt outside their borders might tempt.) When he heard the call, he frowned and considered skipping out. There were enough females to manage food procurement. But he couldn't quite justify ignore a direct call in place of his own vague goals. He'd just try not to get too much blood on him. Or fall in the sand.

Guess it was a good thing he showed, though his exterior showed nothing but cool confidence as he cut in at a careful trot. A few strides away, he changed - suddenly lunging with compressed speed, flipping midair to kick toward the sides of the wildebeest and propel him back away. Another few quick strides and he looked back to see what he had accomplished, and repeat the process.

She ducks around a stray kick and feels the hoof clip at the tip of her ear. A rush of air, a rush of adrenaline, surges through Pyrrha as she maintains a steady pace beside the beast. Keeping it steady while others launched their attacks and preventing their meal from taking a quick turn and trying to escape that way. Pyrrha bares her teeth and gnashes them towards the beast as warning. Do not try to escape this way or else meet my teeth. She's able to keep so good pace with the prey as the hunt tears through the Cove's countryside. Never trying to over take the beest, just holding steady at it's side.

The gathered were lucky in their movements to corner the beast and take it down, leaving no room for failure or injury. Pushing herself to a stand and stretching out her legs as they feigned a soreness, she watched as everyone garnered their victory pieces. Perfectly happy to wait her turn in an effort to help get what was left of the meat into the caches for later. That was the least that she could do to help get what they had earned, given the fact that she was also one of the many that ate from the caches. It was only fair she help to catch and store, too. exit analia

The beast falls and Pyrrha has her first chance to admire the pelt up close. It's what she's wanted more than the food anyways. But now that she can see more clearly, in detail, the pelt is... drab. Unsuitable for her collection. However what does catch her attention is the line of hair along the length of the animal's strong neck. Not long and flowing, not short and stubble. A strange crown of sorts. She grasps her teeth around either side of the neck and begins to tear down the length so that she might take with her the muscles of the back of the neck, and the mane that was attached to it, back to her den.

He ranged back around, watching the progression of the damage. When it slowed again, he tidied his muscles and tossed them back into action. Again with the flip and the shove with his hindquarters to propel him away. Tiring from anaerobic exercise, he nearly missed the landing. He forced his front paws ahead of him, managing not to stumble but not at all managing to look like he was doing anything but trying not to stumble.

Dignity successfully saved, he headed back and hung back from the now-downed prey as though looking for a good spot to grab on. He'd rather stay clean, though, and indeed its final moments passed without any prompting on his part. While his chest pounded, he stayed back and skimmed his nose through his mane again. It was covered with sand and salt on the underside. Again. Alas. One could not do anything physical here without showing the price. Rather than eat - for the prey was being torn apart, bit by bit, into takeout containers and trophies - he headed back toward the cliff and rubbed him again along its dust, replacing the sand scent with a less traceable rock scent. He felt like doing some scouting somewhere else.
